The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology and The Nautical Institute have re-launched the Certificate of Excellence , an international accreditation recognising organisations that demonstrate globally benchmarked standards of quality in maritime training and education.

The Certificate of Excellence is open to universities, maritime academies, and commercial training providers. Successful institutions awarded the international accreditation are to be commended for encouraging professionalism, delivering expert teaching and leadership, as well as providing an engaging, well-resourced learning environment.
