Piraeus Port Authority S.A. reaffirms its commitment to corporate social responsibility and the protection of all passengers’ rights through its collaboration with the Institute of the National Confederation of Disabled People & People with Chronic Conditions Institute .

Within the framework of this partnership, the training program “Assistance and Support for Passengers with Disabilities, Chronic Conditions & Reduced Mobility” is being implemented, aiming to enhance the expertise and awareness of PPA S.A.’s human resources in matters of inclusivity and access for all passengers using port services.

The company’s employees have the opportunity to receive modern theoretical and practical training, under the guidance of trainers with and without disabilities, provided by Greece’s leading official institute for disability and chronic condition education, IN-ESAmeA.

The program targets over 1.000 PPA S.A. employees, offering them guidance and familiarization with best practices in assisting and supporting passengers with visual impairments, mobility disabilities or reduced mobility, deafness/hearing impairment, intellectual, cognitive, developmental or mental health disabilities, as well as other disabilities and chronic conditions.

This initiative highlights the significant contribution of PPA S.A. to shaping a positive and safe travel experience for all passengers, while promoting a rights-based approach to disability.

The program will continue until the end of 2025, aiming to further develop the staff’s skills, improve services and advance PPA S.A.’s social responsibility.
